Hi. My name is Maryse and I am a Canadian who left the advertising world 15 years ago to pursue my dream of living in the beautiful Caribbean Island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico.

Fascinated by the beautiful surroundings, I took on the project of painting sea life scenes and started to distribute my designs on tee shirts in scuba diving boutiques and resorts in the area.

A couple years later, Friends of the Reef was born and has now become a full line of clothing for inspired travelers. From casual nylons, to comfortable cottons and microfiber travel wear and accessories, I design articles essential to any traveler’s wardrobe. Things you can wear every day, that will fit any silhouette and will make you feel good while you’re on the move.

Our styles are exclusive and produced in small quantities through our suppliers in Cancun and Merida. We strongly believe in promoting local businesses as well as delivery high quality at very affordable prices. I personally oversee each and every order before it’s delivered to one of our retailers or shipped to one of our customers.
